The general story line of the prosperity gospel goes something like this: God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life. As we've seen, Faith believers all over the world endlessly quote the verse as a prooftext that supposedly proves that God's will is that all men be always prosperous. So prosperity covers all things that one can do or touch,will get a better idea of this soon. Put God's righteousness first and wealth will come as the by-products. Prosperity simply means, 'Having enough to do the will of God.' And that's how much God wants you to have, no more and no less. Then we shall be master over wealth and not be enslaved by wealth. Ezekiel 34:25-27—Showers of Blessing 1. The word for 'life' used in this passage is 'zoe', which refers to divine life. Will you walk in faith or fear? This passage I have been learning more and more about the prosperity gospel. Will you exercise the muscle of faith by grabbing hold of God's promises? 20 For he will not often consider the years of his life, because God keeps him occupied with the gladness of his heart. The prosperity gospel claims that suffering is never God's will. Believe for a constant, steady, nonstop outpouring of God's abundant, liberal, excessive prosperity. God's will for your life, for my life, and for all the people in the world is that we may all have abundance in every realm of our existence. But Jesus himself suffered and calls his disciples to take up the cross, forsake the world, and be prepared to suffer as he suffered (Matt 16:24-28; John 15:18-20). We then use the wealth to promote more righteousness.
